THE FACTS ARE GRIM
Imagine you or a loved one being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and knowing that over 74% of the patients will not survive one year from the time of diagnosis.
The survival rate for pancreatic cancer is getting worse. Sometime over the next year, pancreatic cancer is expected to be the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S., surpassing both breast and colorectal cancers.
Early detection is critical to reverse this trend. 91% of patients find the cancer has spread by the time the disease is diagnosed. More research, requiring more funding, is desperately needed in this fight.
